90 CITU volunteers arrested

Puducherry, Feb 6 (UNI) Ninety volunteers of the CITU were arrested for staging a road blockade at the Venkatasubba Reddiyar statue here to press their demands.

They were demanding the reinstatement of 100 workers terminated from a private industrial unit here.

Orleanpet police rushed to the spot and arrested the activists, which included 60 women.
