65-year-old lady shot at by unidentified persons

Pune, Feb 6 (UNI) A 65-year-old housewife was today shot at by unidentified persons, in her house at Parshwanath Society on the Pune-Satara road.

Urmila Shah was preparing lunch in her house, when she was shot at by the armed men. she received a stomach injury and was rushed to Poona Hospital in an unconscious state and admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.

The Swargate Police, who are investigating the incident, said that no one has been arrested and an official complaint is yet to be registered. However, the police are investigating the cause of firing.

At the time of the incident, Rajkumar Shah, husband of Urmila alongwith his son was in his auto sparepart shop, police said.

After commiting the crime, the unidentified persons fled from the scene, police added.
