HC disapproves alteration of service condition of doctors

Allahabad, Feb 5 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today disapproved the alteration of the service condition of the medical teachers by the Uttar Pradesh government.

On December 28 last year, the state government had given promotions to 20 associate professors of 15 departments of the Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad.

A Bench comprising Justices S Ambwani and Dilip Gupta passed the order, when the fact was brought to the notice of the Court.

''The amendment to the service rules framed by the state government on December 28, 2006 will have no application to their service after the college has integrated with the Allahabad University,'' the judgement said.

On Novemer 3, 2006, HC had passed an order in respect of service condition of teachers of the college and had restrained the state government from issuing any order in favour or adversely affecting the teachers and employees of the Allahabad University or to withhold any grants which have already been sanctioned and are in the process of disimbursement.
