Gujarat receives investment of Rs 4,60,000 crore
Jalandhar, Feb 5 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has said his state has emerged as most favourite destination for investors and bagged proposals of huge investment of Rs 4,60,000 crore during the recent Global Gujarati summit.
Speaking at a public meeting here last evening, he said the state had recorded highest growth rate in entire Asia following his Government development commitment.
He said that his state had been maintaining growth rate in two digits for long and foreign and domestic investment was recording impressive growth there.
He mentioned that in the recently held two-day global Gujarati meet memoranda of understanding (MoU) of Rs 4,60,000 crore were signed for setting up of various projects in Gujarat and this was a record in itself.
He added that the new industrial projects would creat employment opportunities for about 12 lakh people in Gujarat.
