On show at the 'Indian Beauty Expo 2007', the first of its kind exhibition being held at Pragati Maidan from tomorrow, will be the latest products of nearly 200 beauty, herbal and spa companies from nearly 20 countries across the world, including India.

Being organised by the Singapore-based CityExpo Asia Pacific Pvt Ltd, the expo, with special focus on the spa and wellness industry, will have on display the latest technologies and products to enhance beauty such as 4U cosmetics - a non-surgical alternative to liposuction, a multi-application LHE device, 24 kt treatment for revitalisation and the latest oxygen therapy to name a few.

Addressing a press conference in the Capital to announce the holding of the three-day exhibition, CitiExpo official spokesperson Kendra Lee said the expo was in keeping with shift in the global beauty trend from skin-deep care to overall wellness and from salons to spas.

She said the expo would provide the ideal gateway for industry players to venture into Indian beauty and health market tapping the growing demand in India and in neighbouring countries.

''India is an important new market to be explored. Many international companies believe that the demand for their products is increasing in India. The expo will provide an opportunity to gain a foothold in the market,''Ms Lee said.

The exhibition, spread over an area of 4000 sq m, will have six national pavilions from Singapore, Turkey, Korea, Indonesia, Europe and Taiwan. The participants include many countries from Asia besides Australia and the United States.

The expo will offer a platform to companies from several participant countries to exchange business ideas as well as learn about new developments in the market and industry through seminars.

Some of the leading beauty experts like beauty therapist Metro-Dora Clifford deom Australia, leading hair expert from India Blossom Kocchar and India's latest fashion and make-up artist Clint Fernandez will hold seminars and workshops at the expo.

''During products and services demonstrations and seminars, visitors will be able to not only learn about neighbourhood and global brands but also to explore beauty novelties,'' Ms Lee said.
