Cadres should work for its candidates in RMC election: TDP
Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 5 (UNI) East Godavari district Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Jyothula Nehru has called upon the party cadres to work unitedly for the success of their candidates in the Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation (RMC) elections, slated to be held on February 19.
After handing over the forms to the TDP candidates Mr Nehru said the seats were given to various sections of the people after consultation with state party high command.
Former Minister G Butchaiah Chowdary said candidates who were in the fray of RMC should explain the failures of the Congress government in detail to the people and thus get people's confidence.
He called upon the dummy and rebel candidates to withdraw from the contest making only one official candidate in the fray, he added.
Town TDP President A Apparao said whether the candidate was known or not, party was supreme and everyone should work for the success of the official candidates of the party.
