5 dead, 7 hurt in AP mishaps
Rajahmundry, Feb 5 (UNI) Three persons were killed on the spot and another succumbed to injuries when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling was hit by an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus at Kummaragiri Junction in the district this afternoon.
Police said the autorickshaw was proceeding to Yanam from Mummidivaram when the mishap occurred killing Pulidandi Durga Prasad (23), Moorthan Veeravonkata Saytanarayana (35) and Kurati Satyanarayana (35) on the spot. The other injured, K Nageswara Rao (36), died at the hospital.
The condition of Reddy Nagaraja, who was also injured was serious, hospital sources said. The bus was on its way from Kakinada to Aamalapuram, they added.
In an another mishap, a tipper lorry turned turtle at Anur-Kondapalli Junction killing Chavvakula Abbulu (40) on the spot in the early hours of today and injuring six others who were taken to Kakinada Government Hospital, police said.
