200 bags of ration rice meant for smuggling to AP seized
Chennai, Feb 5 (UNI) Police has seized 200 bags of ration rice loaded in a lorry, meant for smuggling out to neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, at a lorry booking office at Kothavalchavadi here last night.
Police said acting on a tip off, a police team seized the lorry with rice bags, which was parked infront of the lorry booking office. The total worth of the seizure was Rs 10 lakh, police added.
They arrested two persons Alagianambi (56) and Pulamaadan (45) in this connection, and they were remanded to judicial custody.
