Pak delegation arrives to celebrate Bhai Mardana's 550 bith anniv

Moga, Feb 4 (UNI) A 19-member delegation from Pakistan arrived this morning at Firozpur to participate in a two-day celebrations of 550th birth anniversary of Bhai Mardana, a long-time Muslim companion of the first Guru of Sikhs Guru Nanak.

The delegation includes religious leader Chan Pir Kadari, head of Dargah Sain Mian Mir and is wife, a kirtania and direct descendent of Bhai Mardana Bhai Lal, Zahoor Ahmed Khan, the direct descendent of Gani Khan and Nabi Khan.

This was announced here today by Harpal Singh Bhullar, president of International Bhai Mardana Kirtan Darbar Yadgar Society.

The society is organising kirtan darbar for two days in memory of Bhai Mardana.

A grand reception was accorded to the delegation on its arrival.

Bhai Mardana was throughout with Guru Nanak during his extensive journeys across the country and abroad.
