Nithari: Families on dharna near CM's house
Lucknow, Feb 4: Family members of the victims of the Nithari serial killing today sat on dharna near Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's residence here demanding withdrawal of the transfer order of the Noida SSP and to provide them government jobs.
As Mr Yadav has not confirmed meeting the 17 family members, the agitated people said they will continue their agitation till their demands are met.
All the family members, with photographs of missing children in their hands, also questioned the role of the CBI in the ongoing probe and apprehended that the main accused Moninder Singh Pandher might be given a clean chit by the agency.
The delegation led by Mr Satish Chandra Mishra, president of Akhil Bharatiya Navjagrat Brahmasamaj, alleged that the shifting of SSP RKS Rathore was an effort by the state government to hush up the case.
Mr Mishra said the family members will be forced to go on hunger strike and may even consider self immolation if the state government did not provide them government jobs and punish the guilty people involved in killing their children.
Meanwhile James, father of six-year-old Nisha, who went missing in July 24 last, said the role of the CBI is doubtful as they have not disclosed the names of the politicians and other people who had saved Moninder till now.
Another father Jaggu Lal claimed shifting of SSP Rathore was a conspiracy by the state government.
The family members have also submitted a memorandum to Mr Yadav about their demands and apprehension.
