Nithari: CM assures govt jobs to family members

Lucknow, Feb 4: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today met the family members of the victims of the Nithari serial killing and assured them all assistance from the state government, including government jobs.

''....The state government was always serious about the Nithari killings and had done sincere probe into the case though, it cannot repay for the dead children,'' the Chief Minister said.

However, Mr Yadav did not comment over the demand of the family members to reinstate SSP RKS Rathore and suspended CO Dinesh Yadav, who had been shifted out of Noida yesterday.

Meeting the family members at his official residence for more than 30 minutes in presence of the media, Mr Yadav said the government had already provided Rs 5 lakhs and free plot to each family of the victims.

''The UP government will provide government jobs to the family of the victims,'' he maintained.

Meanwhile, during the chat, the family members of the victims raised serious doubts on the ongoing CBI probe and even alleged ''animal bones are being collected to use it as human bones.'' They, however, appreciated the role of the state government in disclosing the case and charged the former CO of Noida Simaranjit Kaur with having ''nexus'' with the accused.

Earlier, the victims' family members sat on a 'dharna' near Mr Yadav's residence here demanding withdrawal of the transfer order of the Noida SSP and to provide them government jobs.

All the family members, with photographs of their missing children in their hands, also questioned the role of the CBI in the ongoing probe and apprehended that the main accused Moninder Singh Pandher might be given a clean chit by the agency.

The delegation led by Mr Satish Chandra Mishra, president of Akhil Bharatiya Navjagrat Brahmasamaj, alleged ''the shifting of SSP RKS Rathore was an effort by the state government to hush up the case.'' Narrating their woes before the Chief Minister, the family members said they were being threatened by some vested political forces for demanding punishment against the guilty people.

''The BJP, The BSP, The Congress are only using the issue for their political purpose, while some mediapersons are behind the nexus,'' they claimed.

The family members of the victims claimed that they had nothing to do with the politics in meeting Mr Yadav. ''The CBI is only interested in the blame game rather than doing it's job,'' they said.

James, father of a six-year-old Nisha, who went missing on July 24 last, said ''The role of the CBI is doubtful as they have not disclosed the names of the politicians and other people who had saved Moninder till now.'' The family members also submitted a memorandum to Mr Yadav about their demands and apprehension.
