Motorcyclist killed, pillion rider escapes unhurt
Chennai, Feb 4 (UNI) A motorcyclist was killed when a bus ran over him at Tambaram here today.
Police said the Metro Transport Coporation's bus ran over the rider Mathew Vargheese (34) when the bike skided, throwing both the occupants on the road.
While Mathew Varghese hailing from Kollam in Kerala was killed on the spot, pillion rider Subramanian of Bangalore escaped unhurt.
Both were returning to the city from suburban Urappakkam when the mishap occurred, police added.
