Kanchi Seer Jayandra lays foundation stone for hospital
Tirupati, Feb 4 (UNI) Kanchi Seer Jayandra Saraswathi today laid the foundation stone for the Rs 80 crore Sri Padmavathi Medical College and Hospital (SPMCH) near Renigunta airport here.
Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Science (SVIMS) and the Kanchi Mutt would jointly set up the hospital on a 60 acres land given by the state government.
Talking to reporters, SVIMS Director D Subramanyam said the 300-bed hospital would be constructed in two phases.
The first batch of students would be admitted in 2008.
