Ranchi, Feb 4 (UNI) Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch(JJM), a tribal rights organisation, has called a Rajbhawan March on February 26 in support of their demands, including reconstitution of Tribal Advisory Council (TAC) of the state.

Talking to reporters, organisation president Jagdish Lohra said that a memorandum would be sent to the President through Governor Syed Sibte Razi demanding an increase in Scheduled Tribes seats in the state assembly and Loskabha.

Appreciating the efforts of Chief Minister Madhu Koda to maintain the status of the reserved assembly seats belonging to scheduled tribes in state assembly, Mr Lohra said, ''Erstwhile NDA governments played with the sentiments of tribals and even the TAC was non-functional in their regime.'' Mr Lohra also appreciated the Chief Minister for his efforts to include the urban areas of the state capitals -- Ranchi and Jamshedpur -- in the notified areas.
