Hindu outfits agitated over death of cows in MP town

Ujjain, MP, Feb 4 (UNI) Expressing anger over the death of 14 cows last night, Hindu outfits have described the incident as a conspiracy to disrupt communal harmony and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Fourteen cows had foamed at mouth and died at Krishi Mandi Parisar in this district last night.

VHP's Kuldeep Joshi said a bandh will be called tomorrow if the culprits were not nabbed by this evening. A motorcade rally will be taken out in the evening and a memorandum will be submitted to the district administration.

''On receiving information that cows were foaming at mouth, immediate medical treatment was provided. However, 14 cows died,'' said Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad.

As per preliminary investigation, the district administration said cows had died after consuming 'chapad', he added.
