Cancel appointments given on fake certificates, says MPSTC to govt

Badwani, MP, (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Tribe Commission (MPSTC) has recommended the state government to cancel 250 appointments made in Indore division on the basis of fake certificates.

MPSTC member Yashwant Singh Darbar told reporters here today that the recommendation was made on the basis of the findings of an investigation by the tribal advisory committee of the Commission.

He said several complaints regarding appointments on the basis of fake documents had been received. These complaints were being investigated.

Mr Singh said regular monitoring was taking place in order to ensure effective implementation of tribal welfare schemes. He had himself visited about 500 tribal hostels in three districts recently and took stock facilities being provided.

He also visited Ratan Bhil, who was allegedly injured in police beating, in the district hospital. He announced Rs 2,000 from the Tribal Welfare Department for meeting his medical expenses.
