3 killed and 18 injured in a road mishap

Davanagere, Feb 4: Three people of a family were killed on the spot and 18 others injured when a truck, in which they were travelling, collided with another turck, near Hiremallanahole on National Highway 13, about 60 km from here in the early hours of today.

Police said that the mishap occurred when the victims were travelling to Hospet from Bangalore.

The deceased, belonging to Nandini Layout in Bangalore, were identified as Ningamma (21), Suvarna (10), Ramanna (38).

The injured had been admitted to Government Hospital in Jagalur.

Superintendent of Police Sonia Narang visited the spot and supervised the rescue operation.
