Night tempreture above normal in several parts of India

Pune, Feb 03 (UNI) Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Tamil Nadu and of Kerala.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Vidarbha, Marathwada and were above normal in some parts of Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Telangana and of coastal Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Orissa, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow are likley to occure at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jammua and Kashmir, south Andman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, north Andman and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya and at isolated places in Orissa and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar. Gujrat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.
