Budget session of Parliament to commence on Feb 23

New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) The Budget Session of Parliament would commence on February 23 and continue till May 22 with a 27-day recess.

The announcement was made by Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today.

The Railway budget will be presented on February 26 followed by the Economic Survey on February 27.

According to an official release here, the general budget will be presented on February 28.

The first phase of the session will end on March 21, and the second and the last session will be from April 18 to May 22.

There will be a recess from March 22 to April 17.

The total number of sittings will be of 42 days, the release added.
