Yogi Adityanath's arrest, a form of Islamic terrorism: Singhal

Varanasi, Feb 2 (UNI) Flaying the recent arrest of BJP MP Yogi Adityanath, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today termed it as a ''new form of Islamic terrorism.'' ''The arrest of Yogi Adityanath in Gorakhpur by Uttar Pradesh government is clear cut illustration of the state government playing into the hands of Islamic extremists. It is a well planned attack on the Gorakshapith, which has angered every Hindu,'' VHP international president Ashok Singhal said in an informal chat with mediapersons here today.

The BJP MP of riot racked Gorakhpur was arrested recently for allegedly violating prohibitory orders.

Mr Singhal was in the city to attend a programme to mark the Ravidas Jayanti.
