Shiv Sena claims 12, BJP three and NCP eight seats in Thane

Thane, Feb 2 (UNI) Out of the 23 results declared so far, the Shiv Sena won 12 seats whereas its alliance partner the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) won three seats in the Thane Municipal Corporation elections. The Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) claimed victory on eight seats.

Mayor Rajan Vichare(SS) and former Mayor Ashok Raul(NCP) were among the winners.
