TMC: Sena won 32 of 70 seats declared at 1300 hrs

Thane, Feb 2: Shiv Sena won 32 seats of the 70 seats declared so far in the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) elections.

Party position at 1300 hrs Shiv Sena 32 BJP 5 NCP 15 Congress 5 MNS 2 SP 3 BSP 2 Indep 6 Prominent among the elected were Mayor Rajendra Vichare of Sena and city NCP President and former Mayor Ashok Raul.

While former Mayor Manohar Gadwe of Sena as well as BJP candidate Raju Kale, former Deputy Mayor were defeated.
