SAD announces aid to kin of Beas violence victim

Chandigarh, Feb 2 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) today announced an asistance of Rs two lakh to the family members of party worker Dilbagh Singh who was killed in a clash between the ruling Congress and SAD activists in Beas assembly constituency recently.

Police had registered a case against Congress candidate and sitting MLA from Beas, Jasbir Singh Dimpa and his brother in connection with the clash on January 29.

Announcing the aid, SAD president Parkash Singh Badal said the party would do its utmost to get the guilty punished, a party release here said.
