Rajesh Exports bags Rs 352cr order from Singapore firm

New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) Jewellery retailer Rajesh Exports Ltd today said it has bagged a Rs 352 crore export order of gold jewellery from Singapore-based Gold Star Jewellery Pte Ltd.

The order, to be completed by April, is for the supply of new collection of jewellery developed by the research and development wing of the company.

The order will be executed at the company's manufacturing facility at Bangalore, which is spread over 12 acres of land and has an installed capacity to process 250 tonnes of jewellery per annum.

''We are moving towards margin expansion in the years to come and our R&D team is developing products which would fetch more margins. This order is one of the first steps towards margin expansion,'' the company's Executive Chairman Rajesh Mehta said.

Rajesh Exports is confident of completing this order well within the time frame, leveraging on its expertise, skilled craftsmen and artisans and its exceptionally strong backward integration skills, he added.
