New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) A women Additional Session Judge of Delhi has approached the Supreme Court seeking directions to Delhi High Court to lay down certain guidelines for the transfer of judges of subordinate courts in Delhi.

Session Judge Sujata Kohli, in her petition filed today, has alleged that she has been transferred to Labour Court under pressure from Bar members, who were annoyed with her for sending a contempt of court reference to the high court for action against an advocate.

The advocate was appearing for a Kashmiri model, Tariq Ahmed Dar, who was deported from Bangladesh and was later arrested in Kashmir on suspicion of his alleged involvement in militant activities.

Later, he was released as it was a case of mistaken identity.

The Bar members were against Ms Kohli because earlier, as an advocate she had opposed the lawyers' strike.

In her petition she alleged that she had been transferred by the high court to labour court, Karkardooma under pressure from the Bar. Her complaint against the members of the Bar, who had misbehaved with her during the lawyers' strike, is still pending in the court of ACMM Delhi Sanjeev Jain.

She has also appealed to the Supreme Court to direct the high court to dispose off the contempt of court references in a timebound manner so that the same do not remain pending indefinitely. Chief justice of Delhi High Court has also been made a party in the petition.

The petition is likely to come up for hearing next week.
