NABARD releases Rs 16.5 crore for construction rural bridges
Agartala, Feb 2 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has released Rs 16.5 crore for construction of rural bridges in Tripura.
According to a NABARD release, Rs 8.22 crore was sanctioned to the state government during November 2006 for construction of a number of bridges, from the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).
The amount was released in advance so as to enable the government to purchase necessary raw materials and initiate project planning as early as possible.
The NABARD has been implementing subsidy-based credit linked scheme for establishment of agro-clinics and agro-business centres in the state during 2006-07, the release added.
