MBBS fraud case in Kashmir, accused chargesheeted
Srinagar, Feb 2: A girl who managed to get admission in the MBBS course on a fraud Resident of Backward Area (RBA) certificate and ten others have been chargesheeted.
The fraud surfaced after a written complaint was received by the Crime Branch Kashmir (CBK) that Shagufta Aziz daughter of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Kangan, got selected in the MBBS course after producing RBA certificate in the Competent Authority Entrance Examination.
A spokesman of the CBK said the investigations conducted into the matter revealed that the girl was actually residing in Ganderpora, Eidgah, Srinagar.
However, she, in connivance with her father, some civil, and concerned revenue authorities managed to pretend that she is the daughter of a person residing in backward area of Kangan.
He said it was established beyond any doubt that the crime has been committed by Shagufta Aziz.
Charge sheet against the accused has been presented before the Court of Judge for Small Causes, he added.
