Marico announces re-organisation of business

New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) Marico Ltd today announced re-organisation of its business into three strategic business units (SBUs) and three functional business units.

The group's business will be divided into consumer products business, kaya business and international business and three functional units -- technology, finance and IT, and human resource and strategy.

''This re-organisation is aimed at giving each business a higher thrust and focus to enable growth and providing the right platform for functional support for growth,'' said Marico Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Harsh Mariwala.

Company's Chief (Marketing and Sales) Saugata Gupta will be the CEO of the Consumer Products SBU. Mr Rakesh Pandey will continue to be CEO of the Kaya SBU. The Sundari Business, which was hitherto managed as a separate SBU has been brought under the International Business, which will continue to be headed by Mr Vijay Subramaniam as the CEO (International Business).
