Lal Bahadur hockey: Railwaymen beat cops

Guna, MP, Feb 2 (UNI) Western Railway, Kota, pipped Madhya Pradesh Police, Bhopal, 3-0 today in the 34th All-India Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial Gold Cup Hockey Tournament underway here.

The railwaymen exerted pressure on the cops from the beginning of the encounter at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium. Forward Zulfikar (2) and Centre-Half Mohammad Atiq (1) were the scorers. Bhopal could not capitalise on even one of four penalty corners.

The Guna Muncipal Council is organising the event.
