Kandla Port gets ISO-9001-2001 award for management efficiency

Bhuj (Gujarat), Feb 2 (UNI) Kandla Port has been awarded 'Management Efficiency' ISO-9001-2001 award by the Internationl Standard Organisation.

Speaking at the function held here today, Kandla Port Trust (KPT) chairman Janardan Rao said the award has been accorded to KPT for its efficient traffic management, vessel management as well as safety and security guarantee.

Mr Rao said the ISO-9001-2001 certification would give KPT a vital edge in global competition.

The KPT would continue to provide quality and safety to the port-users with best services, Mr Rao added.
