India to launch 4,000 kg satellite by 2009
Thrissur, Feb 2 (UNI) India will be able to launch a satellite weighing upto 4,000 kg by 2009, said N Narayana Murthy, Mission Director of the PSLV C-7.
Interacting with students of the Government Engineering College here today, he said at present, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had the capability to launch satellites weighing up to 3,000 kg.
India could achieve more in the field of satellite launching if all the other factors were conducive, he added.
