Govt to extend assistance to ousters of operation Kolleru: CM

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today reiterated that the government would extend all necessary assistance to the people who have been ousted IN ''operation Kolleru.'' Addressing a public meeting today, while touring West Godavari district, Dr Reddy said nobody from an family affected of the Kolleru operation, which was undertaken to renovate world famous fresh water lake Kolleru in West Godavari and Krishna districts, would be allowed to suffer. The government was ready to extend its assistance to a tune of Rs 100 crore to the people affected, he added.

The Chief Minister also disbursed loans and assets to the people during the occasion and also inaugurated a drinking water reservoir in the village.
