DUJ concerned over ULFA statements on journalists

New Delhi, Feb 2: Delhi Union of Journalists today expressed concern at 'threatening statements' made by United Liberation Front of Asom against the editors of two daily newspapers in the state.

Supporting the Editors Guild of India's statement of condemnation, it called for a 'risk' insurance cover for all journalists in view of increasing attacks on scribes, a release said here.

''We condemn all attempts at muzzling the press be it by the government, by press barons or by jingoistic elements.'' DUJ called for united movement against such increasing attacks.
