Driver killed and one injured in Kashmir accident

Srinagar, Feb 2 (UNI) A driver was killed and one person injured in two separate road accidents on the Kashmir highway today, a police spokesman said.

He said driver Abdul Rashid Dar was injured when his tipper turned turtle at Drangbal Baramulla in north Kashmir. He was admitted to hospital where he died.

In another incident, the police spokesman said three trucks carrying essential commodities to Srinagar from Jammu collided with each other on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway near Zadora crossing, under the jurisdiction of police station Qazigund.

One person identified as Gurmeet Singh was injured in the accident and has been hospitalised in SKIMS Soura.
