Cong for early filing of chargesheet in Nithari case
New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) The Congress today said the CBI should file a charge-sheet in the court at the earliest about the kidnappings and killings in Nithari near NOIDA taking into account the unholy alliance between the police, administration and the criminals and see to it that none, howsoever powerful he may be, is spared.
"The nexus between the criminals, police and the Government elements has turned out to be a case study for researchers to which those running the Government have turned a blind eye," Congress Spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said.
It was really unfortunate that Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's brother, himself a Minister, had termed the Nithari incidents as a routine one and a petty crime, Mr Singhvi said talking to reporters here.
He said the fact that police tried to hush up the case by taking bribe from Pandher, the main accused, was unfortunate and was a case of grave corruption. This showed that law and order had completely broken down in Uttar Pradesh."Our allegation of unholy and dangerous nexus between the criminals, police and the politicians is fast coming true." The CBI should at the earliest submit a chargesheet and take action, Mr Singhvi said.
