CBI to produce Nithari progress report by Mar 2 in Allahabad HC
Allahabad, Feb 2 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today directed the CBI to submit its progress report in the Nithari case tothe court by March 2.
The bench consisting Justices R C Deepak and B A Zaidi passed the order on a writ petition filed by both the main accused of Nithari case - Moninder Singh Pandher and Surender Koli.
The petitioners had filed a writ petition challenging an FIR lodged against them on the complaint of Nand Lal, father of deceased Payal.
During the hearing of the case, the state government had informed the bench that the matter had already been handed over to the CBI.
The bench summoned the state government's notification about the CBI order.
The counsel appearing on behalf of the complainant, Pradeep Pandey, said the state government should have informed the court about the inquiry report prepared by it prior to handing over the case to CBI.
The next hearing will take place on March 2, when the CBI has to submit its progress report.
