Call for promotion of philately among students

Coimbatore, Feb 2 (UNI) The Post Master General (Western Region), Mr K V Sundararajan, today called for a multi-pronged approach involving parents and teachers to promote philately among students.

Inaugurating "Kovai Pex 2007," a philately exhibition here, he said philately had great education value to students as they will try to understand the background and theme of the stamps.

Mr Sundararajan also released a special cover on the occasion. He also distributed prizes to the winners of 'Design a Stamp' contest.
