BSP makes a dent in RPI vote bank
Mumbai, Feb 2 (UNI) The Mayawati led Bahujan Samaj Party, which has got its vote bank among dalit voters, has made a dent in the civic elections, bagging 18 seats in six corporations of the state.
BSP and Republican Party of India have got a similar vote bank.
However, the BSP had influence in Uttar Pradesh and had never made any major impact in th state's politics.
However, this time thecivic polls saw the party winning two seats each in Thane and Solapur, one in Mumbai, five in Nagpur, three in Nasik and four in Amravati.
