ADG's suspension revoked, top cops transferred in UP
Lucknow, Feb 2 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today revoked the suspension of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) B K Bhalla and posted him as head of the telecommunication branch.
The government also transferred 14 police officials, including nine senior officials.
Mr Bhalla was suspended in November, 2006 following his alleged remarks on Muslims in a presentation paper. He was then ADG (Railways).
ADG (Anti-Corruption) Dr Rai Umapati Rai was posted as ADG (Railways), whereas ADG (CID) Shailendra Sagar has been posted as ADG (Anti-Corruption).
IG (Telecomunications) N D Dwivedi has been sent to Meerut zone as IG, while DIG (Allahabad range) G L Meena has been sent as DIG (PAC Hqs). Ram Narain Yadav has been posted as DIG (Allahabad range) from his earlier posting as DIG (PAC, Bareilly sector).
Similarly, SP (Rampur) Tarun Gaba has been posted as SP (Kannauj), while SP (Kannauj) Neelambhja Chaudhury has been posted as SP (Security and Training).
SP (Security and Training) P K Srivastava has been made the new police chief of Siddharthnagar and SP (Siddharthnagar) Ramit Sharma has been sent as SP (Rampur).
