144 CR PC promulgated following a group clash

Jamshedpur, Feb 2 (UNI) Tension prevailed at Rani Kudar area under Kadma police station here follwing a group clash and prohibitory orders under Section 144 CR PC were promulated since last night.

Police said the clash took place over the theft of a shirt.

The two groups engaged in brick-batting but a prompt action by police averted a major incident.

At least six people were injured, some of them seriously, in the clash, police said.

Rapid Action Force was deployed in the area to take control over the situation, police said.

Though tension prevailed in the area, no fresh incident took place and the situation was totally under control.
