Police bust Racket involving illegal transportation of diesel

Port Blair, Feb 1 (UNI) Andaman and Nicobar police today seized some 26 barrels containing around 5100 litres of illegally stored diesel and arrested a person following a raid at Little Andaman island.

The raid was conducted on receipt of secret information about illegal storage of diesel, Superintendent of Police of Andaman District Jaspal Singh told UNI.

Initial investigation revealed the arrested person had stolen the fuel with help of other associates from a ship, which was grounded at Jackson creek, Little Andaman.
