Notice to former Haryana MLA on wife's petition
Chandigarh, Feb 1 (UNI) Justice Pritam Pal of the Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued notice for March 29 to former Haryana MLA Tejveer, who had represented Pundri constituency in the previous house, on a writ petition filed by his Chandigarh-based wife Asha Thakur, seeking higher monthly maintenance allowance and the cost of litigation.
It was argued by her counsel the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chandigarh, had on January 13, 2007 ordered the respondent Tejveer to pay to her a monthly maintenance allowance of Rs 2,000 besides Rs 6,600 towards litigation expenses. This, she said it was rather low as the ex MLA had not given the actual figure of his income by showing it just Rs 5,000 per month.
Tejveer, son of late Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwar Singh, was heading degree colleges in Pundri with high income. Besides, he has agricultural lands, flats and other properties.
