Minister inaugurates kalyana mandapam at Kalikiri

Tirupati, Feb 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Endowment Minister J C Diwakar Reddy has inaugurated the Rs 50 lakh newly-built Kalyana Mandapam (marriage hall) of the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at Kalikiri in Chittoor district.

Speaking at the inaugural function yesterday, the minister lauded TTD's efforts to perform mass marriages in 294 constituencies of the state, TTD, said in a release here today.

TTD Trust Board chairman B Karunakar Reddy said people of Kalikiri and its surrounding villages could utlise the kalyana mandapam for weddings and devotional activities.

The mass marriage would be conducted on February 22, he added.
