Hyundai domestic sales up by 49 p c
Chennai, Feb 1 (UNI) Leading car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has registered a 49 per cent increase in its domestic vehicle sales, with 17,460 units in January this year over last year.
The total sales of 26,661 vehicles in January 2007, was an increase of 33 per cent over the corresponding month in 2006, an official release here today said.
In the export market it clocked a growth of 11 per cent compared to 2006, with 9,201 units exported.
The sales in January this year have been the highest in the same month till date for HMIL with Santro, the flagship car from the Hyundai stable, clocking a domestic growth of 78 per cent in comparison to January 2006.
