Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) An estimated 60 per cent of the 1.57 crore electorate spread across ten municipal corporations in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, exercised their franchise in today's elections to the urban civic bodies.

Mr Nandlal lauded the election officials and the police for their 'outstanding job' in helping the smooth conduct of elections.

The corporations, which went to polls today are Mumbai, Thane, Ulhasnagar, Pune, Nagpur, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Akola, Amravati, Solapur and Nashik.
