Emami registers 37% growth in turnover at Rs 262 cr in Q3
Kolkata, Feb 1(UNI) Emami Limited, one of the leading players in Indian Personal and Health Care Industry, has reported a growth of 29 per cent in turnover and 37 per cent in Profit Before Tax in the third quarter.
A company release said here today that Emami's turnover and PBT have been recorded at Rs 262 crores and Rs 47 crores against previous year's Rs 204 crores and Rs 34 crores respectively.
The mega brands like Navratna Oil and Boroplus Antiseptic Cream with market shares of 54 per cent and 67 per cent respectively have strengthened their number one position by further increasing market shares.
The release said the new launches accounted for 17 per cent of turnover. Mr Black&Mrs Black Hair Dye Powder and Malai Kesar Cold Cream have been launched during this quarter. Other new launches were Sona Chandi Healthy&Fair Baby Massage Oil, Good Morning, Ayurvedic Laxative Churna, Sardi Ja-Cough Syrup and Vaporub, Memo-plus - a memory booster and Sanjeevan Dhara--a digestive.
Emami's International business has grown by 40 per cent, the release said. The company's growth is coming from all countries especially SAARC, Africa and Europe.
