Dr Mehra invited to conduct prog on corporate governance in WI
Dharamshala, Jan 31 (UNI) Dr Madhav Mehra, President, World Council for Corporate Governance (WCFCG) has been invited by the University of West Indies to conduct a programme on Corporate Governance for the Caribbean business leaders.
Mr K B Ralhan, Regional Director, World Environment Foundation Convention Centre, Palampur today said here that Dr Mehra was earlier invited by the Prime Minister of Dubai to address UAE corporate leaders on the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Corporate Governance.
He said that Dr Mehra was strong believer of the fact that with a fifth of world population below the poverty line and globalisation only increasing the divide between the rich and the poor, corporate governance has to broaden its role to ensure globalisation works for the poor. Dr Mehra grew up in Palampur and converted his family house into Convention Centre, he added.
