Chawla takes charge as new aviation secretary
New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) Mr Ashok Chawla today assumed charge as secretary at the ministry of civil aviation.
He has taken over from Mr Ajay Prasad who demitted office after his retirement.
Mr Chawla is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service batch of 1973. He was earlier additional secretary at the department of economic affairs in finance ministry.
He was on addition chairman and managing director of the newly-formed Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited.
Mr Chawla was also on the board of ONGC Ltd as a part-time director.
