Kochi, Feb 1 (UNI) To protest against the ''indifferent attitude'' of the management of the Central Bank of India, the United Forum of Central Bank Unions today called for an indefinite all-India strike from February 22.

Talking to reporters here, forum representative N S Ravindranathan said the strike was to protest against the management's denial of trade union rights, unilateral changes in staff-related policies, harassment of employees, non-implementation of decisions and vindictive attack on union leaders by the managment.

The forum, comprising of eight unions, held a 'stayout strike' on January 22 to protest against the management for unleasing a reign of terror by resorting to memos, charge-sheets, transfers and suspensions, he added.

Mr Ravindranathan alleged that the management was trying to destroy the unions and harassing the employees, instead of seeking cooperation of the staff for developing the bank's business.
