VST Tillers post 23 per cent growth in Q3

Bangalore, Jan 31 (UNI) VST Tillers Tractors Ltd, the country's largest manufacturer of power tillers today announced a 23 per cent growth in turnover for the third quarter ending December 31.

Favourable market conditions helped the company to achieve good all round performance which included a 25 per cent rise in volume and the turnover touching Rs 40.54 crore, up 23 per cent from Rs 32.88 crore achieved during the corresponding period last year.

The company's exports during the nine-month period more than doubled to Rs 9.59 crore when compared to Rs 4.09 crore during the corresponding period. The total turnover for this period touched Rs 115.71 crore, a 28 per cent incerase from Rs 89.95 crore during the same period previous year, according to a company release here.

The PAT during the quarter rose to Rs 8.54 crore compared to Rs 4.45 crore during the same period last year. The company's small tractor Mitsubishi Shakti, acounted for 20 per cent of the total income, the release added.
